We have a 5 acre spread and large ranch house in a peaceful N. County area that we'd like to set up as a home for young adults with autism spectrum disorders. This is an opportunity for the parents of 3 or 4 such people to join us in establishing the environment, the operation, and the finances to create a life long home for your children. Our vision is a natural setting away from the bustle, including farming and healthy living.
Please contact us to begin discussions aimed at turning this into a reality. Post a response or send a message.

There are vastly different levels of functioning and different needs amongst those with ASD's. You need to decide which part of the spectrum is your market segment. Do you wish to house those who are non-verbal and have greatly impaired communicative abilities, those who are non-verbal but can communicate using PECS or sign language or some other system, those who are verbal but still need assistance with living skills?

Since this sprung up to the top again, I'm going to issue a reminder that while its fine to discuss ideas and parameters, this site cannot be used as contact source or launching pad for donations, solicitations, business partnerships, or anything else involving money. Not to say that is what is going on here, since I really do not know, but to issue a caution.

I started this topic to find out whether there is any interest from a group of parents. Everything will depend on who wants to consider the proposal and finding a compatible group.
