The curious incident of the dog at night time
by Haddon, Mark

Excellent inside view inside an aspergers child and their thinking and it is fiction.

Best book I have read!

I agree--it's a decent book. The main character is a high schooler, and differently and more severely affected than I am (though not more than I was at his age)... Still, it seems like the book stresses him overcoming his limitations more than using his strengths (which definitely exist--he's very logical and good with numbers).

The more positive press AS gets, the more accepted Aspies will be in society, and the less trouble they'll have leading successful lives.

I have been lurking on this board for quite a while. (I have an 11 yo Apsie son) I read the original post about the book yesterday and went to the library to find it. I ended up reading it all in one day and loved it. I found myself laughing out loud many times. Just wanted to say thanks for recommending it.

It was so good. You are welcome. Pass this one around and it helps us understand our kids better and it is not a boring read!
