I have recently added a whole bunch of links to sites offering free ebooks for kids. Most of the sites have sound, so the kids can use the resources for both reading and speech improvement. Included in the list are links to some free read along books from my free YouTube Reading and Grammar Channel
( www.youtube.com/user/vids4autistickids ) and some closed captioned video from my free YouTube Speech and Vocabulary Channel
( www.youtube.com/user/vids4autkids1 ).

For children to learn to love to read and to become proficient, they must have ready access to books and other reading material.

Many kids on the spectrum read below grade level and have comprehension issues, particularly at young ages. For children with severe impairment, reading is key to communication.

Also check out the "reading and writing links" and "homeschool links" for further resources and reading curriculums.

Thanks!! :) Would love to hear of any/all resources. I'm searching for longer social stories for my son. Thinking about writing some one day.

I would check out the video modeling and social stories resources listed on the page below, then.

Also, you can check out some free manners videos and video modeling in the "playlists" of my free Autistic Kids Channel
( www.youtube.com/user/vids4autkids1 ). There are some teaching tips and general information about autism in the "favorites" section on the channel, too. (Be sure to click "load more" at the bottom of the "favorites" page. I have overloaded the channel with materials.)
