Now that I know my daughter has Aspergers (almost 3 weeks since we first heard about it) I cant tell you how overwhelmed and emotional I am with her accomplishments all these years..neither of us knowing she was dealing with.

It sounds like your daughter is able to function well and use the gifts and talents that she has to do well. :)

Martial arts is a good activity for most people, including those with AS. I've recently started training karate and it has improved my balance and coordination quite a bit. I would encourage her to keep training kung fu. :)

Many of history's and today's geniuses were/are Aspies. Einstein, Michelangelo, Bill Gates and many others (see Wikipedia) have the traits of AS. Modern notable Aspies went to mainstream classes and were not in special ed.
