Based on reading I have done, I think Super Heroes might be a good thing for my son, so he could identify with one, and maybe help him with all the powerlessness he feels about all the rules and stuff a little boy has to deal with. Of course, I am explaining adults have rules they have to follow, too, etc. I was thinking though super heroes might be a good catharsis.
The problem is picking one. My son is very sensitive. It probably needs to be geared for an emotional 3 or 4 year old. It can't be anything darker/scarier/more violent than say Word Girl on PBS. I don't know if he would really identify with her because sometimes she is pretty girlie, and she is social. It would also need to be brightly colored etc.
When they had the free comic day thing we picked some up. They had some family friendly versions of Superman, but that was about it.
Anyone have suggestions?
