So I went for an parent interview with well quilified child clinical psychologist and play therapist.....I told her my gfg story, symptoms the works.....
She didnt say much yet regarding diagnosis.....but I could read between the lines that she is not convinced that my son only, if at all, has ASD!
She is thinking more in the line of possible bipolar disorder!?
She wants us to first see the new neuro again....she was surprised that no one connected the dots between his abnormal EEG in the R temperal lobe and his symptoms, poor auditory processing, lack of reading contexts, emotional irregulation, moodswings, exct....Plenty of the symptoms sometimes assosiated with ASD...She said she will start assessing him and working with him.
My concern is...she will be using playtherapy.....my son doesnt really know how to play! Maybe this will be an indication by itself!? Oh boy....hope she can peel away his layers to get to the real him....He knows how to cover up his weak points big time! Like he wont tell her he has visual disturbances......or headache...or dont understand!
Any suggestions?
