What are suggestions for section 504 approach in high school?

You might get more/better responses if you elaborate a bit.
Like, from the thread title, I'm guessing that your 17-year old daughter has recently been diagnosed with something, presumably Aspergers. But it could also be that you were just diagnosed and you have a 17 year old daughter.
As for the whole section 504 thing, I haven't the slightest idea. Again, perhaps you could clarify?

hi, how's your daughter doing in school gradewise? Also, does your daughter have an IEP?

It's my daughter, not me, just diagnosed with Aspergers a few days ago. Thanks for the link to the section 504.... the ADA law that requires the school to help. Her grades are A's, the teachers love her so seems the schools have always focussed on that and not our request for help in my daughter's inability to make friends.
The school psychologist has suggested filing for the section 504 and not the more detailed IEP as she doesnt need to be pulled out of her classes.
Journalism class has been great for her this year..with the need to write the basics and not all the detail. She starts meeting with a behavior/social skills coach next week.
