So, my kids are arguing while playing Roblox.

My son (10) informs me my daughter (6) hit him. When I ask her about this, she goes into a long-winded monologue about how it was his fault she hit him because he was annoying her. He was annoying her by not doing things her way.

So, I did something I know I should never do in cases like this. I asked a question:

"How would you guys feel if I hit you every time you annoyed me?"

My son "Actually, mom, that would probably be a good idea because then we wouldn't annoy you anymore. That would be a punishment that would stop the behavior."

Oh, geez! Not the point I was trying to make! LOL!
