My name is Adrianna Bagnall. I am PhD student at Columbia University conducting research on the transition process for autistic adults. I am looking for families who are interested in participating in an interview with the researcher on the transition out of high school and into adult services. Interviews will take approximately 1.5 hours and I can travel anywhere in New York City to meet families. I am offering a $15 gift card to the parent and autistic adult for their participation in the interview.

If you are interested in participating please contact me. Thanks.

I'm a 53 year old man who was diagnosed as autistic as a very young child

I had no speech until age 5. However, upon starting to speak, I "changed" from being classically autistic to Aspergian.

I graduated high school with an okay GPA. I went to "special schools" most of the time.

After high school, I got jobs on my own, and my mother put me in a job sponsored by the CETA program (1979). For CETA, I worked in a medical library.

When I was 19 going on 20, I got my present job. I've been on this job 34 years next week. It's as a data-entry operator.

I'm also a life-long New Yorker. I reside in Queens Village at this time.
