Hi, does anyone know of any social skill websites or good books for teens who need help in the area? My son (13)is having issues with socializing respectfully and appropriately with girls. And with peers in general. All the typical aspie traits like talking too much about when other people are not interested anymore. He doesn't care about personal hygiene that's age appropriate, and manners, especially when eating. I'm asking his school for direction but they don't have much to offer, I'm planning on asking his pyschitrist at his next appointment. But things we can work on at home would be a big help too. Thanks,
Cheryl

I got this for my son: http://smile.amazon.com/How-Rude-Manner ... en+manners

He hasn't read it yet, but I have read some of it and I have to tell you...even I learned some things. It is written in a very straightforward manner, but is not written specifically with ASD in mind. It is funny and I think would be engaging to a teenager.
