need dentist advice

I don't know of any recsources in Michigan (I'm in California) but I would recommend just calling around and explaining your situation. Many dentists advertise if they use sedation in their practice, so it shouldn't be too hard to find.
If sedation or autism friendly dentists aren't available in your area, find a dentist who is willing to work with your family on how best to treat your child. Schedule at least one or more "happy visits" where your son or daughter just comes to visit the dentist, see the chair, etc. It's low stress, low expectations, and you might be able to work that into a check-up at another appointment.
