My mom told me he reason why my 7 year old cousin is very fond of me is because I have an ‘open face’

What does it mean if you have an open face?

I think this is a term that is a little bit up for interpretation. As in, it is not commonly used, so the dictionary definition may not be the same as everyone’s common use.

I would take that to mean that you have a relaxed face, without a lot of expression or judgment. That can be soothing to people who would rather take your meanings from words or exaggerated gestures (a smile, thumbs up) instead of subtle facial expressions.

It could mean that you are naïve.

It could mean that you are trustworthy.

That you are approachable.

It's almost always a compliment.

I've never heard having an "open face" used as an insult.

I have always heard it used as a very genteel compliment.
With meanings as already listed
Innocent/trustworthy/approachable

I think it means someone with a broad and expressive N trustworthy face

Like kate moss when she was young

she looked very honest and kind because her face was so flat and broad and innocent .. at least that is what i think

Even now despite looking strange in many respects her bone structure makes her seem trustworthy

Like when people have a small thin face n narrow eyes (close togther) they are said to look untrustworthy.

Like Draco malfoy’s description in the book n actor tom felton matches it closely. Hermione n ron’s actors have an open face. I think.
