Hi all.
I am taking my 8 yo son to be evaluated for developmental delays, including ASD. He had IQ testing done last year, and his full scale IQ was 96. Verbal comprehension was 100. His working memory was 18th percentile, which was low average, but he scored 95-100 on the other subtests. For matrix reasoning, he was in the 25th percentile.
Anyone good at deciphering these results? He is a bright kid and honestly I expected his score to be higher. Do ASD kids do poorly on IQ tests?
My 5 year old just took the Kaufmann assessment and his full scale IQ was 97. I also expected it to be higher, but the school pyschologist said that she thinks he is much brighter, just couldn't stay very focused for the test.
But our sons' full-scale IQs are well in the normal range, which is needed for an Asperger's diagnosis.
