This year my 9 year old and 7 year old sons have been diagnosed with Asperger's. This has made me realise my husband also has Asperger's.

I've been suspecting my 4 year old son may have Asperger's for a while: he plays by himself when I go to friends houses (where there are other kids); he is obsessed with his routine; and spends most days lining up his toy cars. He also complains a lot about other children being too noisy, and the sun is too bright.

Anyway today I had *the talk* from my 4 year old son's daycare teacher. He's been spending a lot of time with his hands over his ears at daycare complaining about the 'dreadful noise' the other kids are playing. He spends most of his time at daycare lining up cars and gets upset when other kids try to play with the cars. And when other kids brush past him he screams and cries.

I'll get him formally diagnosed before he starts school (in 18 months time).

He certainly will have the benefit of all the experience we've had taking the older 2 to psychology and negotiating IEP's!

Now I'm trying to think of a title for when I write a book:
'The Joy of Aspie Kids'
'Minority NT in an Aspie house'

No, they're not very creative .... give me some ideas!

"Help! The rest of my family are from another planet!"
"Four Aspies and a Mum"
"My Family and Other People"
....
there must be more and better.

Ice B I love all your suggestions. I'm torn between:

"Help! The rest of my family are from another planet!" and
"Four Aspies and a Mum"

Triangular Trees, love your title too, "I'm the weird one here." But I am a NT - subcategory 'weirdo'! I am considered pretty weird myself.

Hmmm, I could have,
"How I trained my brain to think logically"
"Logicical Thinking for Dummies" or
"Logic Training Camp"

Keep the ideas coming!

"Don't Rant....Bellydance!" (I'm assuming you find peace with this activity?)
"No, We're NOT Like You"
"It's Exciting to be Aspie!"
"Is it Normal in Here, or is it Just Me?"

"On Being a Dog in a Houseful of Cats," (based on the title, "All Cats Have Asperger Syndrome." Dogs are more sociable and people-oriented, while cats keep to themselves.)

Looks like I'll have to write a few books with all these excellent suggestions!

We found out my husband is an aspie after our daughter, so I can relate. Sorry to ramble here. I'd definitely read that book!
