Hi again! I was just wondering if hand sniffing would be classed as an obsessional (cant spell sorry) behaviour or a sensory issue? My 8 year old does this from time to time. He does have sensory issues, ie he tells me bright lights and loud noises bother him. Im just trying to understand him. I have loads and loads of questions. Sorry in advance

Hey welcome to WP!

I've sniffed my hands a couple times, I love the smell of zest or dove, so if anybody has it on their hands I usually grab their hands to sniff it, or if its on mine, I sniff then start biting, its weird. It is a sensory thing, I would think.

I sometimes sniff my hands after washing them.

It might look like I'm sniffing my hands, but I'm just rubbing my nose because nose hairs are ticklish!
