Standard Blood Test
Hello,
I'm new to this forum, but I think "yall" (yea, from the South) will be able to help me on this.
I have a 10 year old son who was diagnosed with Aspergers this last year. From what I've seen and according to the school system professionals and other doctors we are very fortunate to be very high functioning and do well in school with some modifications. Our primary concern is more for socialization within his age group.
Now that we've had some time to do some research we are wondering what types of blood test should we consider to help evaluate the issues of Candida, Clostridia, Food Allergies, etc... After meeting with our pediatrician yesterday he said he would do some research and had some basics that he was sure of, but wanted to be thorough.
Does anyone have a list or a link to a list of test we should consider?
Thanks,
Hi there,
I just registered to this forum so that I could reply to you.
Check out this site: ALCAT.com
Both my kids were tested with this test. The first one, we saw dramatic improvement with his behaviour within days of removing the culprit foods from his diet. We also did the candida diet and that made a big change in his life! We had a prescription for Nystatin to help the detox along.
Our second child, who is 3.5 years old, was diagnosed with ASD in September. Our first call was to ALCAT to order a test. Within a week we got the results back and started his diet right away. We see changes occur daily. He is now saying 3 words sentences, controls his tantrums much better and doesn't hit people, except his brother, but I guess that is normal!! !
Good luck and I hope this information finds you and helps you and your child.
