Technically, you have to write a letter to them for your request to be official. Two weeks isn't breaking the law. Have you gone in person with a copy of your request?
We used language that let them know we knew they were discriminating against my son, then when we didn't get results we pulled him out while he was enrolled. They lose money that way.

I agree. School districts don't hear words, but somehow they do understand actions . . . especially when those actions lower the amount of money they receive.

When a couple of school staff weren't doing what I wanted, I found out who their boss was.

I then resorted to a daily e-mail campaign. I would e-mail to the staff and cc it to their boss.

In the e-mail I would write what the problem was, the effect it was having on my child and family life, and what solution I wanted.

It worked.

Now I am really happy with the school and the progress we have made with our sons.

Good luck.

Helen

Helen, I'll try that.

I know that two weeks isn't breaking the law. My understanding is that I need to fill out the request for evaluation form before anything becomes official. I'm just irritated that they seem to NOT want me to have that form.

They called. It went very well actually. I hope this continues.
