My 16 year old has very bad SI issues with his neck and shoulder area.
Can anything help?

oh, yes, I understand. My second husband had the sort of sense tranference that made him crave pain. Very difficult until we sorted it out.

I'm not sure about teenagers, but something my kids do that helps is to wear those Under Armour shirts, (they are the ones like athletes wear and are tight) under their regular shirt. It provides deep pressure that they both enjoy. Also, have you talked with an Occupation Therapist?? the school system should have one that you could get some more advice from.

My sons also wear those. My son's OT recommended "brushing therapy" but there was no way he was going to sit there while anyone brushed him. It was a macho thing. Being brushed is apparently not cool!

yes, I thought about the brushing, but we only do it on arms and legs, I wasn't sure it was appropriate for neck and shoulders. And yes, I'm sure it is very uncool!!
