My youngest son is having a hard time right now. He's almost 5 and I think he is starting to realize that his older brother is "different". I want to make sure that he understands and that his needs don't get overlooked.

I've seen books written for siblings of non-verbal autists, but I was wondering if there is anything out there for NT siblings of kids with AS.

We are all different. we all have our own struggles. perhaps you could focus on how our differences make us the unique person we are.
Oliver Onion is a good book~ talks about being different ,wanting to be just like everyone else, and coming to terms with the fact that you are different.
A porcupine named Fluffy is another good one. ...there's also a book about an elephant that's all different colors~can't remember the name of that one though.
.....as far as making sure his needs don't get overlooked, well that's something you'll have to keep on top of. consistently reassure him that he is just as important as your other child ( i'm sure you already do this)

Is that one Elmer's Colors by David McKee

I keep thinking that one day I'll get around to writing a book like that but my kids are growing up too fast.
