 Oh man I feel so deflated right now. What is like rule no 1 with ASD??? DON'T Mess With The Routine!! !! !! !
Yep you guessed it I broke it without any warning at all. One minute we are getting ready to leave school the next he is with a friend while Mummy goes to the school hall for 'meet the junior teachers'. Getting him out of sandpit after took a while and then he was all over the place running around instead of coming with me. He was screaming "NEWS" at the top of his voice on way home.

Fast forward to after tea and shower time. Well shower tickled and I think that set him off again. Getting dry he was jumping fast and screaming and then "NEWS" started again. I got his drynite on him (bedtime pullup) and left him to it. He wasn't stopping but went to his carry on. After a while he was back out in lounge and quietly playing cars. Now I have a calf on the screen  And in mouth. Hm bedtime I think. Thanks so much for being there I feel tad better after getting this out :)

it's so hard to make your life routine.....sometimes i just want to break out of the routine ( rut), and do something different.....drive a different route, go out on the spur of the moment.........

I know exactly what you are saying! I am NOT a routine person. I like to do things when I want to not go by a schedule, proably why I wasn't that keen on school
BUT if/when I follow the routine/schedule my boy is so much better and more controlled.

Schedules! :D I've come to learn they are my savior. Being a single mom who has to work, I'm not always available to keep my 12 year old exactly on his schedule. So we have Wipe of Boards all over the house with everything he needs to do each day, with check off boxes, and the more stuff he gets done on time and properly, the more minutes of video games he earns.

But oh how I know how you feel. When the schedule gets interrupted, it's such a strugle to get him back. 8O

he definately keeps me on my toes.
