Anyone know of good private schools for AS? I found one in Delaware (Cedar's Academy). Has anyone heard if this place is any good. Are there any other similar schools in the SouthEast? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I'm sorry to bother you but does anyone have any advise on schools specializing in Asperger's. Please help.

I wish I knew. I just don't think there's that many out there.

I don't live in that area so I have no idea. My husband just discovered there is an Aspie high school somewhere out here, and I'm still clueless on where it might be.

Sigh. Information can be difficult to come by when you are dealing with such large geographic distances. It's tough enough to get an accurate handle on what local schools are like, much less one far away.

I wish you luck in your search, however.

I wanted to go to one of these, but my dad could not afford it. The best one I found was the Franklin Academy, in Connecticut.

This is the school I wanted to send kiddo to (you know, if I had a trust fund...):

Brandon Hall

They even have a boarding school for people who need that option. The methodology is just... exceptional.

The district will pay full cost if your child is found uneducatable in the system or you can prove the school has failed him. It may be a long battle--not sure.
