Sounds like my son, in that the real fun comes in when you get to create your own. It's like the building from instructions is just the first lesson, the "how to" for something large, and then they want to apply that. Now, my son was never as skilled or motivated a builder as yours, but I do think I could have a future inventor on hand - which is exactly what he has been claiming for years he wants to be (I think he honed in on that at around age 7). But I am thinking my son is going to have some SERIOUS competition from yours!
We really do have the best kids in the world, don't we? I just love seeing what they can do. I know there are struggles but when you see the gifts, it's just WOW.
