Almost done - http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/leechbabe ... 4351092786

It is a mess which is freaking me out. But that is because there is so many other chores I've been neglecting to get the toy storage sorted.

The middle shelves bother me, they don't have boxes so I can put the larger size toys into them that will not fit in a box. But they also seem to attract random clutter and they've only been there 5 days.

I put my and hubby's pic on two boxes up the top and that can be used to hold our random clutter - in fact hubby's is already full of cables and wires and bits

Lounge room is all finished:

Hammock is a huge hit:

Thank you everyone for your feedback and input it helped greatly and made this whole process much less stressful.

Nice!

Looking pretty good there. Good set-up.

And a good positioning so you can keep an eye on what Heidi does/ tries to get.

I hadn't even thought about that but you are right, most of my time is spent in the kitchen / dining area as it is where my laptop lives  Ahhh not to mention all the housework stuff I do seems concentrated in that area.

The bookshelf was to go in the loungeroom but the wall space was 1cm too short which was frustrating but turned out for the best as it meant we could put the girls computer in the loungeroom. The computer was in their bedroom and I didn't like it there - too much of a temptation at bedtime.

*Nods* Indeed. Having such a temptation around an aspie can be bad. We can often be rather...stubborn when it comes to bed-times.

Is your computer wireless or wired? I've found that cords can often irritate an aspie due to being messy and limiting.

1cm too short...sounds like the hand of God at work.

You know...that actually brings up an idea. Could you use the toy box idea for clothes, so you set their clothes out for the week in that way?

Now that is a brilliant idea! (about the clothes).

I've just reorganised Heidi's clothes drawers today with labels and neat piles of clothing but I can not see it lasting. A more organised box system would work much better.

Could do the same with food to a degree. Cereals, breads, toppings...so each day, she knows what she's having and can look forward to something.

And fruit.

If you organise this at the weekend for the following week, it allows you a greater degree of leniency and freedom I believe. Don't need to bother with that stuff so you have more time for other things.

A box system works as well because she can see what's in there and she also has the say what goes where. Control and order. *Sage nod*

All my ideas are brilliant *Nodnod*

I think after Christmas we will look into both those ideas.

For now I want to consolidate this change for Heidi. She is starting to get very anxious and crying often and sleeping less than she already didn't. Christmas is coming and it is getting into sensory overload season for her. To many changes at the same time has me worried.
