Thought I'll share this vid by a renowned speaker Sir Ken Robinson. It gives me encouragement for the future of my AS child.

Probably saved my child from turning into another brick in the wall.

I can love my child without any pressure and expectation now. We will try our best to work on his skills to be as independent as possible, for his own sake, self-esteem, and confidence in life. But his health and being loved is most important now.

Pink Floyd wrote the song "Brick in the Wall" (We Don't Need No Education) for a reason. If you watch the music video for that song, it shows a scene where kids are jumping into a meat grinder machine of some sort, and coming out as paste (no gore is shown).
