Just thought I would share.

He loves to chase his brother on foot while his brother rides his bike/scooter/rollerblades, he loves to chase the little jeep 4*4 riding car thing we got. He'll ride it in, but he would much rather be chasing someone else while they drive it. He will chase the little quad 4 wheeler their grandpa bought for them and anyone coming down the drive if he is outside as such an opportune moment.

If we aren't careful he will chase his grandparents riding lawn mower.

He chases and laughs like a maniac, it must be exhilarating for him somehow.

[edit]Thought I might mention that he is 9.[/edit]

I used to be like that as a kid. I must have been a cat or something in a past life.

Hmm...I wonder if you could build something in the backyard to meet that sensory need. Like a rope tied between two trees, on an angle and something that slides down it with ribbons attached so he could chase it and grab the ribbons, then drag it back to the top and do it all over again. :chin: Then you would be meeting his needs but in a safe way.

When I was a kid, I used to enjoy chasing pigeons. I found it fun to see how a big flock of them would just take off flying the second I went near them. My parents weren't too against it, as long as I didn't try to actually grab one of the birds.

When my step dad was little his mom told him if he could catch a duck while they were at the pond feeding them, he could keep it. I think the offer was made knowing he wouldn't be able to catch one. He was about 6 at the time?
