In terms of music from VI, I prefer Terra and Dancing Mad. Oh, and Kefka.
i judge Final Fantasy music on how good the battle themes are (since you'll be hearing those the most). bearing that in mind, FFVI probably had the best. i hear any of them and i just think "oh bring it b***h!". "Force Your Way" from FFVIII was pretty good though. one of the few things i liked about that one.
FFXII probably had one of the weakest ones. most the main themes felt like re-hashes and the new ones didn't jump at you as much. Nobou's absence was really noticeable. *sighs* ah XII. a lot of good ideas but just not quite there yet.
btw, am i the only one who hates pop music showing up in FF games? just from the intro of FFX-2 i knew it was all downhill from there. i mean, Songstress Dressphere? was this game made by the makers of Barbie? i'd love a game with all female protagonists but making them play dress-up as part of the game just seems silly. i hope whoever thought of that was fired.
