I'm still playing the first game

Played the second one a little bit, but like most fighting games, it was very more-of-the-same.

Bought it today for 360 , but haven't opened it yet. i've played a demo of it , its pretty much SCIII minus those stupid glitches and character imbalances III had. ( plus new charaters , i played as yoda but he's a fun but unfair character , you can't even grab him or hit him with higher attacks; he's that short and rigged )

I'll probably wait to get it used. I'm glad Darth Vader is on the PS3 version :D

I want it, I want it, I want it...

but I can't get it right now. Not till after Otakon and I take care of my school bill...
I'm really looking forward most to the custom character creator.

<< Its great, and you can use them online too :D I can never think of what to name my characters though :(

Hopefully in the future they'll add more customisable stuff via downloads on 360.

I won't be for two reasons

1.) Link is not in in, the only reason I got the last one was to play as Link
2.) I am not paying 400+ dollars for consoles that I don't even like to play a decent game.

I had a free video game coupon for Blockbuster so I rented it. After playing it for a while, I found quite a bit about it frustrating. Sometimes it wouldn't recognize buttons I pressed and some of the fights jump to insane difficulty out of the blue. One fight can be easy and I may win with a perfect or most of my health, the next fight nothing I try is effective, I lose 10 or more times in a row and just want to throw the controller through the television.

So I doubt I'll get it. Though the character edit is really nice, I don't want a dress up game, I want a challenging, but not frustratingly so, fighting game. I'm going to hope that Street Fighter 4 can deliver.

the only thing i found frustrating is the online ranked mode, its full of noobs who are more than willing to just do the same cheap move over and over again to win a fight, the fights on ranked are more to do with luck thank skill because of this

If it's ranked and you're fighting people you consider to be noobs, doesn't that mean the game considers you to be one too?

I'm not going to get it.

Fighting games do what mikebw said - they get so difficult that it becomes impossible to have fun.

You'll win 5 fights perfect, and suddenly this new guy will show up specifically countering every move you make and then he'll pul some twelve-button combo move out and scream 'DEVIL FIGHT KILL ATTACK kazaMUKI!' and you'll die over and over. Especially with the one space goblin guy.

I only tried the rank mode once so my rank was set to the lowest and i was fighting people with low rankings, i was talking about their skill though not their ranking.

One of my friends said it seems like your rank only depends on how many fights you win, and that your losses don't lower it. Haven't played it myself, but I'm sure that would help explain the noobs :x
