What about FPS RPGs, like System/Bio Shock, STALKER, etc?

Not as such... I have S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but I haven't gotten around to playing it yet. Is it any good? What's the balance between the action and non-action stuff?

I like STALKER, but it's not quite as good as I was hoping it would be...a LOT of stuff from the early videos didn't make the final cut =(

It's very actiony...there's a lot of exploring and stuff, but you don't have to do any of the side quests if you don't want to. I recommend putting it on easy mode...I'm usually pretty good at FPS, but this game seriously kicks my butt. I find myself "cheating" a lot...like luring bandits into anamolies or mutant lairs, things like that ;)

Apparently, if you iron man it, you get a different ending...screw that :x

I completly forgot about the Zelda series! Those were great but I missed out on the two Gameboy Color ones, Time and Seasons. I also haven't played 4 Swords and Minish Cap. But I have done Wind Waker and Twilight Princess and I absolutely LOVE Twilight Princess! The graphics were so real for a Zelda game!

I also played Mario RPG and I liked it also! The one thing i didn't like was the tiiming bit when you use attacks or are defending.

But the one RPG game I alway loved playing over back when I was younger was Lufia II of the Lufia Series for the SNES. I loved the ending song.

Some of the RPGs that I like are: The entire "Pokemon" RPG series, "Digimon" RPGs, "Mario and Luigi": Superstar Saga, "Mario and Luigi": Partners in Time (Even though I don't have it), The Mario RPGs for "Nintendo" Wii and "Nintendo" 64, (Even though I don't have them), "Paper Mario:The Thousand-Year Door" (Even though I don't have it), and "Super Mario RPG" (Even though I don't have it), and some of the early "Final Fantasy" games.

"Traveller", by Marc Miller. It's a table-top role-playing game that is advertised as "Science Fiction Adventure in the Far Future." It's played with other people, and playing it taught me how to interact with others - first through my game persona (the player character), then through direct interaction.

All I had to do was ask myself, "What would Keklas Rekobah do?" and then do it.

Of course, Cpt. Rekobah was a privateer and a mercenary, so that led to a few social "issues" at first...

The basic problem with Traveller, of course, was that there was a one-in-six chance that your character would not survive the character-creation process...

^ I use the "Incomplete Term" rule instead.

Have you seen the new Mongoose ruleset?

I really liked the two Oracle games, they were very oldschool in a way...I liked one of them more than the other, I think Seasons was the one I preferred, but I'm not sure. Either way, when you beat the first one, it gives you a code to put into the second game so you can get a bonus dungeon or something like that when you beat it. Don't remember, it's been a while.

Four Swords is cool, but not so cool when you have nobody to play it with =( Epecially the GBA one, it doesn't even allow you to play by yourself.

Minish Cap is fun, but wayyyyy too easy. I might even wager to say it was easier than Wind Waker >_< But they brought back the secrets from the very first Zelda game...there's so many secrets, I'm not even close to finding them all O_O

Has anyone played "Tales of Vesperia"? That's the best Tales game so far. The graphics are so much better, especialy the facial expressons. So much better than Tales of the Abyss. I also like the personailites of all the characters.

Also has anyone ever heard of the MANA series (Secret of Mana, Children of Mana, Sword of Mana, Legend of Mana)?

I think everyone's heard of the Mana series ;)

I liked the two SNES games (Secret of Mana and Seiken Densetsu III), but had trouble getting into the other games. Was working my way through the two Gameboy games (Final Fantasy Adventure and its Advance remake, Sword of Mana), but I kind of got stuck and got sidetracked into playing some other game

I need to get a walkthrough and figure out where I'm at in the remake...but it's been so long since I played it, I'm pretty sure I'll be completely lost =/

So many games, so little time!

Okay, here goes:

Oblivion
Knights of the Old Republic I and II
Jade Empire
Mass Effect

(These are the ones I've played all the way through. I also played the original Neverwinter Nights through, but not the sequels.)

What kind of games is the Elder Scrolls? That seems to be coming up a lot. Also Knights of the Old Republic keeps springing up. What is that like?
