Though it was dramatic, I didn't cry at the end of COD4 because I didn't feel enough emotional connection to the NPC's. But I thought it was a very cool ending... it was like a movie.

Now, you may think im wrong in so many ways, (feel free to point them out). Whoever found the end to call of duty 4 (Where gaz and capt. price and the rest of the sas die), whoever found that upsetting will have a major disagreement with me. I couldnt help smiling. It may have been the feeling i finished the game, the feeling i knew i could take down zakhaev, i dont know. But i was entertained. Im sorry for the wrongness, but it happened. I was smiling on the outside, i knew i was upset because my throat felt like it was plugged by something. (It always does when im upset).

It was more the death in post-nuclear wasteland bit that got me.

That happens to you guys too? It happened to me at the end of Super Paper Mario, when Tippi and Count Bleck gave up their life to save the world. I cried.

I had something in my eye when I watched these scenes in games, truly unforgetable moements.

FF5:

- Death of a certian character (you'll know who I mean if you've played it), the only thing that was worth watching in the whole crappy storyline.

FF6:

- The opera scene
- The suicide scene

FF7:

- Aeris' Death FMV

MGS1: (Playstation verson)

- Sniper Wolf's teary story

Resident evil 2

- Ada's death on either leon first or second game. Cheesy, but worth a mention.

Neverwinter Nights one:

- Couple of backstories behind some of the characters (Ok, it's not actual scenes, it's just dialog but you kinda feel something for them)

I was in tears watching the ending of Okami. Never cried so much in my life! Might have been because I had been on it for four hours and my eyes were hurting though...

Words of wisdom right there. We wouldnt appricate the good if not for the bad.

Anyway here is what made me cry.

A video game that made me cry more was the bad ending of Lost in blue 2, when Jack and Amy get in the lifeboat without a map and supplies and die. But I couldnt find a video of that anywere so here is the next saddest thing.

Gaz: "The Loyalists? Are they the 'good' Russians or the 'bad' Russians?"
Capt. Price: "Well, they won't shoot us on sight, if that's what you mean."

Misty eyed

FF6 (3 in the US)

Locke's story after Pheonix cave (Racheal I think is her name), Setzer's sweetheart dies (right before getting 2nd air ship), "and you chose your freedom"

FF7

Aerith's death and rest
Clouds lamentations for Tifa in the life stream
Vincent and lucrecia in the underground waterfall (recalling that story)

FF8

Squall realizing Renoa is Ultimacia and thus dies

FF9

When the main char (blanking his name) realizes what he was made for

FF10

quite a bit of it actually kind of sad
"I hate you" "I know son"

FF12

Cid dies

KH2

First time Goofy 'died'

Dang, I'm really sappy...

There's this part that always makes me cry in the Harvet Moon GB game (the first GB version, without any special features). One of the random events is one of the town girls will come to you and say that her pet bird got out and she thinks it's somewhere on your farm...and when you find it, she looks at it and says something like "...you want to be free, don't you?" and lets it go...my god, that gets me every time.

Setzer's flashback to Daryl in FFVI is also so heartrending...although Locke's brief reunion with Rachel didn't do it for me. Maybe because the Daryl scene is staged so differently--if you notice, Setzer is walking down the stairs all the while and doesn't seem to actually be *telling* the story, so it may very well be just his thoughts rather than him telling the rest of the party.

The ending of Final Fantasy X. Gets me everytime, especially the music and Yuna's speech at the end.

Also, Aerith's death in Final Fantasy VII and the Jenova fight following it.
"Aerith will no longer talk, no longer laugh, cry... or get
angry."

Well, I guess I've waited long enough...

Here's the video of the moment of perhaps every videogamer's first time crying over a game...

Aeris'/Aerith's Death :(
