Fallout 3
My main gripe is the lack of things to do; there seem to be very many fewer quests than Oblivion had. I don't much like Oblivion, and Fallout 3 is certainly a big improvement, but there seem to be much less "directed" things to do, which is a shame.
I'm systematically hunting through every single location on the map at the moment, and writing down what's in every place. I'm sad like that.
Hehe thats not sad I did almost the same thing when I started getting bored. I highly recommend you download the GECK and give it a shot if you haven't already. I'm in the process of creating my own vault.

I'm going to do that this weekend! I want a cool hideout.

I recon My vault is coming along well, but its still got a LONG way to go (more rooms, levels, lighting, navmesh, optimization etc). The possibilities of the GECK are endless! Heres an image of what I've done so far if your interested:
Gotta love thumbnails

I like the look of it, post final pics when you complete it...
Yeah, you should be able to pick it up relatively cheap now. I cant wait till the DLC becomes available (I was hoping for it to come out for Christmas ). As for my vault that I'm building, a quick update
1. Cafeteria
2. GECK Room
3. Vault Entrance
4. Upper Levels/Atrium (still working on it)
5. Armory and Firing Range
It should be pretty straight through from now on since I've got all the hard bits done. I'm still torn as to the location of the vault. I could do something similar to Vault 101's entrance and place it in the hills to the north somewhere or I can do something like Brauns vault and have it hidden in the basement of some random abandoned house. Any other ideas are appreciated.
What I'd say would be a good idea would to be keep a stash of weapons in the vault, just in case you really need them.
Have a number of entrances incase you need to creep out of the back, or possibly, if you were to put windows in the vault you could view out, and fire at people from inside your vault, which would be a pretty good spot for aiming practice...
I'm sad that the combat will not be completely turn based, because I liked being able to pick which body part I attacked all the time.
feels familiar from oblivion. thats the thing Fallout fanboys cant accept, PROGRESSION! videogames PROGRESS!
this game is not oblivion with guns. This is a true fallout game. i am a fan of the original 2 and i can say that this is one hell of a game.
it succeeds F2 and it succeeds Oblivion

I completely agree, and I played the living hell out of 1 & 2. This game just plain *feels* like playing Fallout.
Moira doesn't die in the explosion, you can still complete the Wasteland Survival Guide, as well as buy items off of her, in Underworld

Can you still complete the Blood Ties quest for the shishkebab schematic?
I'm pretty sure you can still complete the quest, so long as you speak to Lucy West before detonating the bomb. All you need is her letter. I don't recall if you ever need to return to her after rescuing her brother from The Family near Arefu. If you do then I suppose you'd have to beat the quest first, but I don't remember having to speak to her again so I don't think it matters. You can also just pick pocket Moira for the shishkebab schematics.
