I've been playing WoW since Open Beta. My main's a level 80 priest that I rolled on Day One, and is currently in one of the top guilds on her server.

You could say WoW is one of my special interests; I'm a hardcore raider and pretty avid lore junkie. :P

I have an inactive wow account... probably will never reactivate it... the highest I ever got was level 64 (on burning crusade... never played after the 2nd expansion came out...)

Generally WoW is one of the crappiest MMO's of all time. Especially due to the fact that it was released in the year of the worst MMO's.
The only thing about it is that it is immensely popular. (But the popular crowd never sticks to the good stuff if you have noticed)

I love those underrated gems.

As for gaming all together...

I stick with VALVe.

I played it, finished all the content available at the time, and quickly got bored of it. I don't see how people keep playing once they're done with the content, rolling new characters or waiting for the incremental updates. It was fun while it lasted, but it didn't have much more longevity than other games for me.

I just can't seem to stick with a given character long enough to make it to the upper levels. My highest currently is Talanalan, a 36th-level human warrior on the Darrowmere server, but lately I've mostly been playing Deaconblues, a drainei hunter on Fenris, and Necromorphic, a human warlock on Darrowmere. I just keep getting ideas for new things I want to try... :)

I tend to be the exact opposite. Once I roll a character, I tend to play that character to the exclusion of all others until I hit the cap and/or get in a raid or two with said toon. Did that with my Shaman and currently my rogue. Which means my Hunter might very well be in a "rested" state all the way from 70-80 :)

I think Star Wars Galaxies was worse than wow...

The thing I hate about valve is their incessant usage of internet-only games... I do not want to put my credit card number online... therefore I'm still old-school and prefer to buy a game in-store...

I'm quite addicted to WoW. While the gameplay is fun I'm mainly more interested in it to talk with my friends in vent and run groups through normal/heroic instances. I raided hardcore for a while with the Top Horde guild on our server but they didn't know what fun was and honestly made playing the game living hell... Needless to say I'm back to being a casual raider/rare item farmer... Fished up my Sea Turtle Mount on Sunday!

Current Characters Include
80 Protection Paladin
80 Disc Priest
80 BM Hunter (Farming Alt)
71 Frost Tank Deathknight (New Obsession :)

So yeah uh I've been playing Blizzard games since Lost Vikings and Warcraft Orcs Vs Humans or whatever. Good Times.

I dont know if this is the same for everyone but I've personally noticed a severe drop in my creative thinking when I'm around computers. Especially if I've been playing video games. I can't write on a computer I have to do it using pen and paper. I know theres studies that show the effects of gaming on a males brain is similar to a drug high and I could say that for me it's probably true. Though I try and put limiters on my time so that i can do other things... doesnt always work but yah. Hopefully this helps.

I play WoW. When I play WoW, nothing else gets done. My wife says that's the reason I fell out of photography, but I still think the reason I got out of photography was because, as with the nature with my special interests, the interest just began to wane over time. But yes, WoW is addicting and I LOVE IT. Must. Play. WOW. NOW. NOW!! ! 8O 8O But I'm at work right now, so I can't!

I play... lazy style though, lol.
I have a 77 NE druid and a 67 human mage on stormrage... I usually only play the druid with my hubby who is extra slow about leveling, hence why shes only 77. I would play more if i knew more people in game though :)

I gave it a shot. I followed the link for a trial offer. My PCs too slow though. I gave up after half an hour. Still... it must be doing something right. Millions of people signed up for it.
