Bataar your choice of Ayane from DOA didn't have anything to do with the fact she often wore short skirts and has a fighting style incorporating a large amount of spinning that rises her skirt, does it?

Nope. I just think, for a CG chick, she's incredibly hot. In Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate, she has a lot of non-short costumes that I liked even better.

Tifa from FF7 I guess- two obvious reasons.

My girlfriend and I play the Sims 3 together, so I have to say her avatar is my favorite. In the game we are married.

Gunnery Sergeant Ashley Williams, Mass Effect. Cool backstory, including the bit about how she always gets crap assignments (at least until she wound up aboard the Normandy, almost by accident) because her grandfather had surrendered to a turian assault during the War rather than let the civilians get bombed into oblivion (since, after all, turians don't have civilians - they get put into boot camp at adolescence - so they don't really understand the concept...).

As far as characters from games I've played, I guess Princess Zelda .
Characters in games I haven't played, Krystal and Freya Crescent .

To me, a good character is one that develops throughout the story. This just nostalgia talking but I would say Amy from Sonic Adventure 1 becomes a more complete/relatable character throughout the course of the game. As for her return in Sonic Adventure 2, I just pretend that that's an evil clone, possibly grown from a turnip, designed to destroy any faith you originally had in these characters, as characters.

Also, fair bit of character development for Lucca from Chrono Trigger, especially when she's repairing Robo.

Sorry Aerith/Aeris/Iris you are too late, and too stereotypical...

Samus Aran from Metroid, Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, and Visas Marr from Kotor 2. Star Wars is my obsession and Visas is awesome.

I know Bradleigh. There's another character who is the same type of near-human(alien is a derogative term in the sw universe, and since star wars is my main obsession, I'm not going to use it). Jerec from SW Jedi Knight is a Miraluka and he wears a band around his eyes to cover the fact that he has no eye-balls(a characteristic which all Miralukas posess). I knew about Miralukas ever since I read a Kotor comic book from 1993(kotor was originally a comic book series that took place 40-50 years before the kotor games). My character fell madly in love with her before we landed on Malachor 5. Image
