I know that one of the characteristics of AS is s/t poor muscle control... so we were so shocked when our son learned DDR so quickly. A month before his 9th birthday, we bought it for him and he was on expert level with A's within 2 weeks! Given what I've read on here, aspies are either very good or bad at it... does that sound accurate? It seems kind of strange. He can't ride a bike, but he's amazing at DDR, which is so hard for most kids and adults I've noticed. Thanks for any comments.

I wish I was good at ddr ...
I suppose it's down to practise and routine. It's not that surprising to hear of someone with AS being good at DDR, is it an obcession of his?

Yeah, he plays a few days a week for an hour a day and enjoys being so good at it. I guess it's an obsession along with playing chess, mario, and working at math :) His interests change often, but DDR has stuck. Keeps his weight down - great exercise.
Thanks for writing Prosser.

I've been playing DDR since before it came stateside. It's definitely a good workout, to be sure. I think it has something to do with internal rhythm, as well.

I were good at dance dance revolution, I beat a boy at a gaming party who has practiced dancing with it.

Naw, ya think? :P

Ironically enough, I still can't top an old school 7-footer. Simply not enough stamina...
