What do you mean by stupid? In terms of plot, or multiplayer, or just the whole game? In anycase, I voted no because I am greatly impressed by it. Infinity Ward gave me what I expected and more. The only thing I don't like is that it keeps me from getting my homework done...

1) You are too impatient
2) Are you old enough to play the game?

Try not to jump to conclusions to quickly. But the game compared to Modern Warfare 1, is more of an expansion pack. The campaign is too short, and easy (yes I've completed it on veteran). There are minor graphical enhancements, and the campaigns story didn't make much since near the end...

***SPOILERS***
General Shepard betrayed us because we used Nuclear EMP to help win the battle against Russia at DC? Or was he becoming overzealous for vengeance by killing Makarov? Then why did he betray the 141 when we're his specialist soldiers already hunting him down?
***END SPOILERS***

...None the less, multiplayer is a complete disappointment, because you can't even import your old MW1 meanwhile, once you learn to use the Riot Shield, it means you're technically unstoppable, this also applies to other players too. And the removal of a majority of perks, and the inclusion of new and relatively useless perks. Sure you can get a few nice perk combos, but a shrunken perk-pool, makes this game loose much variation that it's original counterpart had. meanwhile, it still feels like a ret*d version of counterstrike, and the inclusion of Death-Streak perks don't even out the gameplay as compared to the Kill-streak tactical nuke. Meanwhile matchmaking SUCKS, (Rank 64 vs Rank 1 Woo! That's *%!ing Fair)

The game also features spec-ops which has very limited replay value. Sure they're the toughest things you'll go through, but after it's all done, you'll go unrewarded for collecting all 69 stars (assuming you don't care about achievements), if you even bother to do it.

The game honestly, is overrated, so I can understand the fact that people may feel disappointed by some of the games features. The reviews on Metacritic make it seem better than Halo 3, which still amuses me to this day, but is not better than it's original. There are many aspects to judge this game, but it's the majority seems to agree. I know for a fact, that Infinity Ward just made another clone of MW1 to reel in as much money as possible. Why? Cause that's how capitalism works.

If I was in charge of this game, I would at least add bots to spec-ops and Multiplayer so if you are an offline kinda guy like me, you'd at least get some entertainment from the multiplayer. If you spend time offline, don't waste your money, or if you already enjoy MW1 and are leveled up and such, don't waste your money.

And that's my opinion - Kurt

Technically, I don't understand why he betrayed the VERY people who killed the one responsible for the nuke in MW1 AND prevented an MIRV (Think Many Nukes) heading towards the states.. I think IW is just making things up to make another adrenaline pumped campaign. The adrenaline wears down and becomes boring, and the multiplayer feels like a failed RPG. (Prestige mode? More like get-rid-of-all-you-worked-so-hard-for mode.)

Like I said, this game is overrated, I'm not saying it's a bad game, it's just that there is so much more that IW could have been done. And all are you seem fairly young too, I bet you don't even understand war. My dad was a ranger in desert storm, and he's told me a lot about the world, and how many mistakes we've made as a country.

I'd like to refute your arguments:
1- what other multiplayer games could you import your progress from previous games into? The only game that I know that allows you do this is Rock Band 1 to Rock Band 2 (the songs you unlocked), to say the least it might be pretty unfair, not to mention many things from MW1 have been remade or removed for other things.

2- Riot Shield is easy to counter, any grenades behind the back, or having multiple people rush the shield bearer will take him out quite easily. If you are unstoppable with the riot shield, let me know as I always get killed when I use and I would like to get the challenges.

3- The perks thing: many of the perks have been combined (the pro perks are basically some of the other perks from MW1), and the useless ones removed.

4- I will agree with you on the death and killstreaks, as I personally thought killstreaks should have been removed entirely from the game.

5- Matchmaking in MW2, World at War, and MW1 was never based off your in game rank. It runs on the trueskill system which is a xbox live thing (I have no clue how it works). However, in those 3 COD games, the guns make a difference, so it can be a little unfair to new players.

This game is frustrating, annoying, but a hell of a lot of fun. Sound like an addiction? It surely is... You can be great at the game one second and loving it, and the next you'll be foaming at the mouth because of all of the bullcrap.

Anything exposing the plot/gameplay should contain the word "Spoiler" I haven't played it yet and don't want the game to be spoilt before I get to play it.

I see some young people on here are probably too young to play COD as I imagine they are all 15(BBFC) and probably rated M as well? I'm guessing on the M as I only know of UK classifications that this would be a 15

worst plot ever!.
nikolai convieniently happened to be in afghanistan in a helicoptor?
how the f**k did he fire a nuke?
the americans can tell from cctv of a bullet where it came from, but the russians cant even work it out with the actual bullet?
why did they go after shepard alone, i mean they are actually in the british forces and shepard is calling them terrorists but americas credibility is gone after the terrorist attack in russia anyway!

1. Nikolai is on the same team as Captain Price and Soap. He is of course a pilot who obviously flew them there.
2. In one of the earlier missions, Captain Price got to the control center of a Submarine which has the ability to launch SLBMs. (Submarine-launched ballistic missile).
3. I let someone else explain.
4. You can't trust anyone. There is a dark side to man. I also believe whatever was in the information Roach and Ghost downloaded proves America wasn't responsible for the terrorist attacks.

Feel free to prove me wrong. (I hate posting!)

I've already played online multiplayer for a total of two days. I think it's a great game. I have no complaints on the multiplayer or the campaign. Going through a short campaign does not bother me. I usually go through the single player for achievements and then move on to multiplayer. So far Spec Ops seems a little boring, but I haven't put much time into it. It's nothing compared to ODST's Firefight, but it's an interesting feature, not really an important aspect of the game. I loved the new twists that they added in the campaign. I won't give the story away but I loved the snow mobile level. The story in my opinion was good. I've heard a lot of complaints about it but I don't agree.

The only complaint I have about MW2 is the stupid kids who play it online. I hate it when people say "go play Halo", inferring that Halo is a simpilar game and inferior to COD. Halo 3 is still a better game then MW2. (sorry a little off topic)

I think Call of Duty MW2 is a game directed towards serious online players and achievement hunters. If you don't care about either of those, then I can see why you would complain about the short campaign.
