If you don't like it, trade it in, it's that simple. There's plenty of people who would probably take if off your hands.

At the end of the day, if you like it, play and buy it. If you don't; find something else you do like...

For those that are happy with the Wii, great. You got your monies worth. For those of you that don't like and don't have, good for you. Now look at getting something else to satisfy your thirst

i completely agree with the OP. i in fact recently wrote a letter to the offical nintendo magazine saying basically what he said. they are using my letter in next months ediorial and said it's one of the best written they have ever gotten. nintendo have snubbed their loyal hardcores for sure.

The best thing about the Wii are the classic NES games you can buy for it. The internet channel is also pretty cool...if you hate your pc.

I'm gonna go ahead and list every Wii game I own as of right now just because I can. :P Note that I've had my Wii since launch and I'm going in chronological order of when I got certain games:

-Red Steel (good at the time of launch, but the controls feel really wonky now and you can get better FPSs for the Wii)
-The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
-Marvel Ultimate Allicance
-Far Cry: Vengeance (impulse buy, don't recommend this, it's a pretty ugly looking game, seriously...)
-Call of Duty 3 (see Red Steel's note)
-Excite Truck
-Splinter Cell: Double Agent
-SSX Blur
-Sonic and the Secret Rings
-Super Paper Mario
-Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (if you can, just buy "Metroid Prime: Trilogy" since MP3 is still at $50 for some weird reason, and with MP:T you get three games for the price of one)
-Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles
-Super Mario Galaxy
-Zack and Wiki
-Medal of Honor Heroes 2
-Battalion Wars 2 (highly underrated shooter/strategy game, highly reccomended for strategy game fans)
-No More Heroes
-Super Smash Bros. Brawl
-The House of the Dead 2&3 Return
-Mario Kart Wii
-Okami
-Spyro: Eternal Night
-Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon
-Castlevania Judgment
-Call of Duty: World at War
-Sonic Unleashed
-Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop
-The House of the Dead: Overkill
-Madworld
-Punch-Out!!
-The Conduit
-Wii Sports Resort
-Metroid Prime: Trilogy
-Dead Space: Extraction
-Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles
-Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
-New Super Mario Bros. Wii
-Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers
-No More Heroes 2: Desparate Struggle

(note that I probably forgot a game or two, I'm not typing this from my house)

What I'm looking forward to (only gonna name a select few):
-Tatsunoko vs. Capcom (at the time of writing this it just came out, but I have to wait until my birthday in March)
-Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon
-Red Steel 2
-Sin and Punishment 2: Successor to the Universe
-Arc Rise Fantasia
-Tales of Graces
-The Grinder
-Epic Mickey
-Super Mario Galaxy 2
-Metroid: Other M
-Zelda Wii

This doesn't include all of the downloadable games I own too, but I'll stick to retail for this list. I should note that I did buy an Xbox 360 in mid 2008, and it's collection is sizable as well. Not nearly as big as my Wii collection, but still enough to satisfy me.

The Wii games the wouldn't really benefit from the Wiimote should be able to use an alternate controller like how the Mario Kart for the Wii also allows you to use the Classic Controller or the Gamecube Controller.

I just bought a Wii, and downloaded some NES, SNES, Genesis, and NeoGeo games. Very fun, and I really enjoy Wii Sports, especially golf and bowling. I want to get Silent Hill and Dead Space next.

Word.

That game is AWESOME. I love it so much, and I've only had it a week.

Plus, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle is out soon. Salivating for that one as well...

It always strikes me as strange when people accuse the Wii controls of being "gimmicky".

It is no more a Gimmick than rumble, multiplayer, map editors, and trigger-shaped buttons.

I mean, everything in the video game industry could be called a gimmick. It is an industry that comes up with gimmicks and then sells them to use so we can use those gimmicks to forget that the real world is a horrible place.

Am I the only one who likes the Wii? :( I got the console last year and since I grew up with Nintendo games I am really glad to still have them in my life even though I'm 36. :) I must also be the only one who doesn't like games that are filled with blood or cursing or look like horror movies. There are some games that aren't scary, but give me bad dreams at night. I'm also female and I'm very sick of hearing how only guys are supposed to like video games.

I would consider myself a "hard core" gamer. I have a gaming PC, Xbox360, Wii, and DS. My Xbox360 collects the most dust and my DS is my most played console... lol

I do love my Wii though and it has a lot of great titles, ever since I started "Brawl hacking" though my time with it has practically doubled.

Hardcore Wii Games

No More Heroes (1 and 2)
Resident Evil 4 (yes a port but it is upgraded a lot and is the best between the gamecube and ps2 versions)
Tatsunoko vs Capcom
Metroid Prime Trilogy.
Super Mario Galaxy
Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess (although imo the second worst Zelda game it is still amazing.)
Super Smash Bros Brawl
ExciteBots
New Super Mario Bros Wii

Also the best wii games are going to be released this year.

Metroid: Other M
Arc Rise Fantasia
Sin and Punishment 2
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Cave Story
Red Steel 2

And there is also the virtual console. Which you can get some retro games.

But I still use my 360 more than my wii.

For what it's worth, any Mario is a casual game. Prior to the Wii, Mario games were considered casual. Just because Nintendo decided to shift focus to even more casual (lame) games, doesn't all of a sudden make Mario "hardcore".
