I got the first one in 2007. I loved it. There was no game like it. It certainly was one of the most colorful, creative, and fun games of all time. The only problem was that it lacked significant replay value and I got bored of it after the first two months. Hopefully #2 will have more replay value (in that case I would buy it), otherwise I would at least rent it.

Quite liked the first one. Was fun but I got bit frustrated with it. Anyway, I'm expecting just more of the same so voted 'probably not'

Liked the first one, but I never even played far enough to get Luigi. I like that they're pushing a sequel to one of the main titles for the first time since what? 1989?

I heard it's supposed to be more difficult like Sunshine was, which I'm not really looking forward to, but I will probably end up owning it eventually.

I didn't even know you could get Luigi! I beat the story pretty quickly and didn't bother with side quests so possibly missed out on a lot (well, maybe not a lot but at least Luigi). After I beat Bowser I kind of lost interest, but I'll definitely revisit it sometime and I'll be getting the second one as well because the first was actually a really good game.

I liked the first one a lot, so I'll definitely pick up the sequel.

I liked the first enough to find all the stars. I'll definatly be getting the sequel. It's the best game I've played on the Wii so far. It's also one of the funnest Mario games I've played. The gameplay fits well with the Wii controls and the scenery in the game is impressive. It could be frustrating at times but it was a good challenge.

For sure. I loved the first one. Having Yoshi playable and being more challenging will be a plus.

The second one looks more challenging.

MORE challenging?!?

Some of the comet challenges were as hard as it gets.

A new trailer and boxart came out this week. This year I might get back into games again.

I'm still hoping someday we'll get a terrestrial, 3D Mario 3-style game, samba music and all. Right now I have to flip between the New Mario Bros and Galaxy series.

Well, you never get to play as him, if that's what you mean. The closest you come to playing with him is when you rescue the useless buffoon in order to get a Power Star. And then he has the nerve to tell you that he's going to leave finding the rest of the Power Stars up to you while he goes off and takes a breather. Lazy git

Can you tell how annoyed he makes me? ;)

But anyway, I'm definitely getting this. I decided I wanted it after seeing the trailer on the Nintendo Channel... and now I know Yoshi is involved, it's a definite buy for me.

YES.

I am definitely going to get this whenever it comes out!

3D Giant World, Yoshi, that drill...man! I can feel the excitement!

You get to play as him after you collect all 120 stars as Mario (that includes the stars from the purple comet stages, which you can only get to after you win the final Bowser fight).

I don't own a Wii and didn't care for Super Mario 64 or Mario Sunshine and haven't played the first Mario Galaxy so I won't be getting this one.
