I see it as this: video games and "real sports" are almost complete polar opposites. Both share in the fact that to be good at both you need fast reaction ability, the ability to process information mentally and rapidly, and to have some degree of stamina (play DOOM for 12 hours). "Real" sports focus more on physical ability, whilst video games focus more on mental ability, which are polar opposites. And by applying Newtonian Law (If 'a' is true, then 'opposite a' is also true) in this context, we can safely conclude that either: A) both video games and "real sports" both have equally opposite merits and can BOTH be considered as sports; or B) I don't know what I'm talking about. Either way, I still win.
