My favorite game right now is probably Super Smash Bros. Melee. Which has held that title for the last 9 years.

What about Brawl? I gotta say I love 'em both, personally, but I like Brawl at least a touch better, despite the fact that I'm too stingy/broke to buy the latest game systems still, so I can only play friends' copies. xD

At the moment it's a mash up between Mass Effect 2 and Borderlands :D.

I like Brawl but it's just too slow and unbalanced to be tops.

Since there is no hitstun there are no combos. Because there is no shield stun you get punished for any move you do on a shield. MetaKnight and Snake are beyond broken. The characters are terribly unbalanced. Autosnap ledges allow for planking and stalling and benefit already really good characters more than the characters that actually need the help. Tripping randomly is the worst addition to a fighting game in gaming history and Sakurai should be entered into the hall of shame for implementing it.

Edit: I play Melee and Brawl competitively so my view may be a bit different than yours.

My favorite quote "I'd hoped to wake up dead, or not wake up at all as the case may be."
The sheer number of hours I spent on Dragon Age...

But right now I'm not playing anything; too busy with school. I suppose the next thing I'll be playing is Sam & Max 302, since the last thing I played for extended amounts of time was Sam & Max 301: The Penal Zone (It's not what you think). I can't wait for a break so I can play it! Too much work  hmm... then why am I on here?... :| ... well... uh... whatever. Having to type stuff out does that, I guess...

It would still have to be Starcraft. It's such a great game. I can't wait until Starcraft 2 is fully released to the public.

Bioshock 2. Probably the goriest FPS game I can stand, I normally tend to stay away from zombie-style shooters because of the gratuitous violence, but at least with Bioshock there's a decent story behind it. And in a technical sense the Splicers aren't REALLY zombies, just crazies who tweaked one too many strands of DNA in their own bodies.

Besides, there's some awesome weapons in this game. My personal favorite is the double barreled shotgun with the revolver upgrade (basically adds a three-round revolver clip to each barrel to triple the magazine size), using solid slugs as ammo. Then there's the Incinerate genetic ability, I seriously feel like Colonel Roy Mustang from Fullmetal Alchemist with that one. Just a snap of the fingers and BOOM! pretty fire....

Monster Hunter Tri. I have never played online on my wii as much as I am now. It's so much fun. Also, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on psp. It's a year old, but I still love playing it with my little brother on a regular basis. I've spent 300 hours total playing the game I think and I'm not even a quarter done with it.
