Yeah, I read about those. I can't even find one and even if I could it would probably cost a fortune.
Yep =(
They also make this:
http://www.horistore.com/images/items/detail/HN6-07.jpgI can never find one cheaper than $60 (plus shipping), but if it's as good an N64 controller as it looks...maybe some day I will just have to break down and get one

Would probably be cheaper than continually replacing first party gamepads with bad sticks, anyway...

There are some of those Wii "classic" controllers on eBay that are advertised as working with the GameCube so they might be a good alternative?
I haven't seen those. Do you have a link?
I've seen adapters for Wii that plug into the GameCube controller port, that let you hook up other controllers, and Classic Controllers, stuff like that. They're around $20, I wouldn't mind trying one out. Though I don't think the cords are very long, so I don't know how Classic Controller support would be very comfortable (but fortunately I have a GC extension cable that I've never ever used).

I've been looking for a GameCube component cable as well (and hoping that the GameCube I bought even supports it) but they cost more than the console and almost all the people that are selling them are in Japan.
Really? I figured they would've gone down in price, now that most people can just play through the Wii.
Which I got to finally do last night

Super Mario Sunshine and the Zelda games look pretty nice in 480p. I'm curious as to how Four Swords will look, what with all the zooming camera angles all the time, and the Link to the Past art with extra detail layers. And being 2D, it should look a bit nicer than the 3D games, since there won't (shouldn't?) be jaggies all over. But I went to check it out last night, and my case was empty.
