Anyone else going to get that game? I might try it but not sure.

I am on the fence. The whole concept looks good. But when I heard they used advanced motion capture to get the facial expresions, ect really lifelike and you have to read peoples faces and tone, ect to solve cases I'm not sure.

People with AS have alot of trouble with that. Rockstar Games made a game unplayable to a whole group of people.

I will be getting it for sure as I love Rockstar games.

It will be a good challenge I guess in more ways than one.

A reviewer at Wired said that they had lots of trouble correctly identifying the emotions on the faces, and that it was quite upsetting being chewed out by "their" incredibly realistic police boss for bad police work as a result. Another journalist somewhere ( Game-Spot, ... or the Guardian? ) said that they just guessed at the emotions because the expressions seemed so arbitrary/mysterious/impenetrable ... but neither of them seemed to think that this reflected on them ... ... ...

Since finding out about AS etc four years ago I have been shocked to realise just how many things I have chronically missed, had difficulty with etc, and/or blamed outside events/situations for, etc which were in fact AS.

I wonder what the odds are that the journalists reviewing games for a living are on the spectrum?

I would love to play this game, if it was set in a more recent past, and if was available on PC, but I suspect that I too would have a lot of trouble with the faces, especially as they are "acted", and I quickly went off "Lie to Me" on TV because the acted expressions seemed even more confusing than "real" ones, ( despite my not being required to respond to them in any way ), and not "whole"/complete" or authentic enough to interest me either ( I generally love watching, and drawing faces ). ...

I dislike the "Disposition" element in Morrowind because I just don't get what it is that I am supposed to do to improve people's disposition. :lol

Got it this morning and I got stuck on the first interogation part of it......

I just ended up guessing......

For the people that have it. Do the people that you have to question all have same manerisms, ect. when not telling the truth?

I've pre-ordered it, and should get it tomorrow. I love Rockstar games and detective work seems fun. Having to "read" people's faces does sound as though it'll be problematic for me, but um, I'm sure I'll enjoy it any way.

I have the game, it's really awesome, I love very aspect of the game except the interrogations since I find them ridiculously hard, my gf picks up on their expressions better than I do, so I hand her the controller so she can do the interrogating we take turns doing the other stuff in the game.

I'm addicted to L.A. Noire. Sure I'm pretty rubbish sometimes at telling lie from truth, but since I studied a little bit about human features. That and I have kind of have to learned when people have been lying due to so many traumatic events, sometimes I'm good at L.A.Noire.

Its a really good game and another great learning tool.

Like the television show Lie to Me was.

I shall DEFINITELY be getting this, looks so good!

Thing is, I can't really afford games full price. So I'm going to wait until I can pick it up second-hand somewhere.

I got it yesterday, it's really a lot of fun.

The first time you have to interrogate someone, you're required to start the interrogation over again from the beginning if you predict wether the person is teling the truth or not wrongly. That was difficult, and took a while for me to get passed that. However, after that, when you're interviewing or interrogating people, even if you get it wrong you'll just move past it, and at the end of the interview/interrogation it'll tell you how many you got wrong. I get quite a lot wrong, but have still managed to solve the cases quite quickly based on the other evidence. I guess I'm good at "putting things together".

I recommend it, it's great fun.

I hear it plays a bit like Phoenix Wright, is that true?

Game's awesome. So far I love it and I just got to disk 3 on xbox.
