That's sketchy, SoulcakeDuck o_o

I have an SNES. Metroid + Super Mario = classics. Old games have a certain charm with their simplicity and no BS approach. I miss them.

I just had an argument with my mom on what games we had for the snes and the nes. I've put at least a week of my life in them both so I know what games we have for them. My mom still thinks she knows everything
I like super mario bro's, castlevania 2, and zombies ate my neighborer's(snes)

Man, any video game fan who claims to not like classic Nintendo either doesn't know what they're talking about or they've never picked up a classic NES controller in their life.

I love the old NES games, but I don't have a console. I downloaded a program for my DS that has 1001 NES Roms though, so I play all the games on there. I love the old RPG games like the Dragon Warrior series.

Nice bong, btw.

ME ME ME ME ME!! ! I LOVE THE OLD GAMES!! !! [/hyperventilate]

I've got a NES, SNES and N64. I've also got a GC but I expect that's still a little young to be considered retro. I also have a gameboy pocket (well two actually...), a GB advance and a DS lite. I hope to add GB colour and an original GB to my collection someday!

My favourite games were definitely the Mario games, but especially Super Mario World (YOSHI!! !) and Mario 64. The only thing that ruined the original games was a lack of save feature... until the special pack came out on the SNES featuring all the original games (re-vamped) and with a save feature!

I had a long-lasting obsession with the starfox games, called Starwing and Lylat wars here in the UK. I have never found a game as good as Lylat wars (Starfox 64) since and even the newer Starfox games have never matched the brilliance.

Also Ive got a (apparently) super rare Asterix game on my NES :)

I played Super Mario Bros 4 (NES). It was totally underground and almost everything in the game was green and brown. It was trippy as hell and I don't think it was a legitimate Nintendo release. My mom found it at a flee market when I was little. The game had a dark vibe to it, the same equivalent The Dark Knight has to the rest of the Batman movies. I guess it was some Asian drug lords side project, when he was bored cooking Meth.
But it was a good game, not sure it had story but it had content.
Mario went to a lot of weird places and there were no mushrooms nor clouds. Think it was some kind of forest/futuristic city theme....

I've got to get the ROM of this! I love really weird bootlegs/hacks/clones/etc. There are some pretty interesting ones from China, since the copyright laws are so loose there. Was the soundtrack from another SMB game (or more than one), or did it have its own?

I still remember beating Zelda 2....and Ninja Gaiden 2, both at the age of 9 years old(it was awhile before I had any new consoles, the first being a Genesis when I was 10(born in June of 88) from my dad, complete with all the Sonic games and Dr. Robotniks Mean Bean Machine, plus Sega Channel.....loved that)

I was so proud, cuz NG 2 was mind numbingly difficult for me at the time. I can breeze through it now, but then....Argh, got so frustrated. When I finally beat it, I stood up and started celebrating like a maniac, cussing at the tv, and ended up accidently throwing the controller in mid victory dance through the tv screen.

*laughs* My mom was so mad, but I didn't give a s**t. I was SO proud of myself for beating that game. I was grounded from video games for a week, but she forgot to take away my GBCs(I had 2 , one for regular play, another for when a friend came to spend the night and forgot theirs or so I could trade Pokemon with myself(I had this obsession about the trainer name needing to be mine on ALL the Pokemon I had, even if the ID # was different)) so I played some Mario and Pokemon Yellow(I WISH they'd release Pokemon StormYellow as a 3DSWare or VC title.....that would be sweet)

I know right??? I think someone actually made an unofficial StormYellow ROM for the GBA emulators, complete with all the stuff from LeafGreen and FireRed. As soon as I get my Droid X2 in the mail, I'll be rooting it, downloading whatever apps I need from the Market, getting a good ringtone, flashing 2.3 Gingerbread onto it, then DLing a GB and GBC and GBA emu and DLing both the original and StormYellow onto there, as I'm thinking Nintendo probably has their head shoved too far up their ass to ever release either one on VC or 3DSWare(well, MAYBE Yellow if we get EXTREMELY lucky)

That is my all-time favorite!! !

Once I learned how to defeat the wall cannons in Mega Man 2, I became more hooked. MM4-6 had the best soundtracks, too.
