And my God the end part is nothing short of utterly disturbing

Just listening to this track gives me the creeps. And that last boss fight. Dear God that was freaky. I'd like to know what the creator was thinking when he designed gigyas.

The game starts off and about 5 mins into it you're thinking "This is kinda wierd, but all the enemies are just plain silly =P."
then about 2 thirds into the game you're thinking "Okayyy...this is slightly disturbing." And at the end part where you have to go back in time and get turned into robots and the whole gigyas battle I thought "This is mildly horrifying."

I mean, it was a really good game but, wow. That endgame was...freaky.

Anyone feel the same?

I could only make it 16 seconds into that before I had to stop it. Sounds don't really bother me, usually, but that was just, brutal.

That wasn't that bad...

Then again, I laughed when I watched The Human Centipede, so there you go :P

No, the way that was directed and acted out was just so bad you can't help laughing. Plus the japo guy

I think I need to replay Earthbound. Been thinking about it a lot lately, and it's been way too long.

If Earthbound gets you emotional, just wait for what Mother 3 has in store.

Well, there is a reason for Gigyas is a Fetus theory.

That game haunts me to this day.

Do you have the original cartridge or are you just using an emulator?

Earthbound costs a small fortune online. The cheapest non-Japanese version costs at least $40 on eBay.

I'll be honest, that was an emulator. I'd like to play it for real but I'm too much of a douche to pay for it.

Sides, there are no new copies so none of the money would go to the developers. No harm done.

There is plenty of information here on Gyigas and other EarthBound things. You should check it out.

I bought it when it came out (which was no small feat, since I didn't get an allowance or anything like that). Ended up being $70 after the $10 off cupon that came in Nintendo Power.

Wish I would've ignored the strategy guide, though. Far too much of the experience was ruined for me (though it was still quite an experience).
