Silent Hill just arrived... (The first one, for PS1.)

I'd play it now, but it's dark and 2.30AM and I heard it's creepy, so not something to play at this time of night...

Isn't it the right time now to play a horror game for the same reason you say you shouldn't play it?

You may have a point... I get freaked out easily though, if the mechanisms are built by tension and atmosphere not just "GOREGOREGORE!".

How creepy /is/ Silent Hill, anyway?

I don't know, never played it. Creepiest game I've ever played is Eternal Darkness. Good luck though, I've read a review on it before and apparently it is indeed scary.

Rome Total War is actually the most recent game I've played.

Switching between three games at the moment: TimeSplitters: Future Perfect, Freedom Fighters, and Silent Scope. Io needs to stop screwing around and make Freedom Fighters 2 already! Same goes for Crytek and TimeSplitters 4.

Fate of the World - depressing, compelling, extremely difficult. FotW is great.
Wasteland Angel - mindless fun, but not worth the £7. *shrugs*
Combat Mission (the CMX2s) - mostly using CM:A to simulate Red vs Red tank battles and using CM:BN to try outnumbered German assaults.

I've now been playing Halo again, and after playing the 1870's era game Call of Juarez with so many single shot and slow repeating arms, I'm kinda surprised how quickly I can dispatch the aliens in the campaign now.

Did you like the game?

I thought it was pretty average compared to others I've played.

At the moment I'm playing Splatterhouse. The voice actor for the Mask is awesome.

I finished it last night, yeah I did like it. I agree it was pretty average and too linear for me but I will probably play XIII-2 when its released. VII is definitely the best one I've played so far.

Gonna go start Shadow of the Colossus, my friend is lending it to me. I'm quite stoked to go and play it from what I've heard about it. :D
