I've played so many systems. The Sega Dreamcast really stood out to me, probably more than any other system, possibly with the exception of the Nintendo 64. It was ahead of it's time for many reasons, and had so many great games. It was a complete failure though in terms of sales, and the games were only made for a period of around 2 years before developers decided to stop making games for it.
Yes, it was such a shame.
Dreamcast is my favourite, as well. I have most of the good games for it after a collecting period of mine. I also liked the idea with the memory cards, a lot, even if it maybe wasn't overly important and barely used. Overall, it should've been the Dreamcast that dominated the market and not the PS2. The only benefit with the PS2, as I see it, was the DVD format... but I guess that, and the PlayStation name, was enough.
i personally hate the memory cards, i can't even have my sa2 game and my chao data on the same card, what a waste. damn thing is hard to pull out of the controller, i had to put my tassle on it for some leverage.
ps2 cards are much nicer they hold more info and they are easy to get out of the machine. all i need out of a memory card is space for my game saves.... that's it. all that flare to me is a waste.
the dreamcast is a good system, and should not have gone down like that, i agree. but the memory cards are a waste, and for the love of god can they put the wires on the right side of the controller.... is there a controller with a wire in the back and a memory card that is more like the ps2.
