Eve isn't a very good game in my opinion, because there are too many bots and farmers.

Wait for Secret World to come out, this year, it is going to be AWESOME. In the meantime check out Rift.

rift=wow, they both are practically the same. i was on both. quit rift once i got my warrior to 50, no one was running the lower dungeons so i was stuck with that 'you have to be social bs' to get any farther so i quit.

i don't ask for help and i'm not going to rely on others to progress in a game i pay for.

as for eve as far as the game it's awesome, huge, very detailed. but it takes about 5 menus to simply travel to another location. movement controls are bs out of the ship, why couldn't they have a hotkey to attach the mouse to the camera or better yet put it in first person view and have some computer thing like the pip boy in fallout 3 to mess with your ship, items, and other crap.

also it would really nice to be able to move the ship around myself.

all in all to complex, knowing me i would just get frustrated playing it, i couldn't even figure out how to turn the quest 'moving onward' in they said to drop it off at this base, well i got to the base but where or how do i drop it off, no help whatsoever. and i wasn't asking for help, it was a tutorial the game should be required to tell you were and how to drop something off.

not a game for me that's for sure i thought new vegas was complex enough and ditched it.

if you can understand this game more power to ya, i gave it a shot though didn't like it.

Did I say Starcraft lol?.. Ew, I meant Eve. Secret World seems interesting. I haven't done much research on it. Rift looks like a game that would require a above decent computer. I also do not like the whole dungeon system, where you must look for pt mates if you don't have friends with you. It feels so awkward to randomly pt with another person I don't know in MMORPG's for some reason. It might have to do with the fact that I am very quiet and shy.

I think I may try some Online MMOFPS out... Can anyone give me advice about connecting an Xbox USB to my computer and making it work for FPS Computer Games?

where did i say starcraft? i don't play that, never have never will. i just tried out eve's free trial. i also was making a general insight on the game. it is complicated as holy hell, took me 10 minutes to figure out how to fly the ship alone. and then i got stuck on the second to last quest in the tutorial.

then i went out to see if i could find something to mine, couldn't find jack and i was in an asteroid belt for god sake, didn't help i couldn't move around on my own in the ship with the keyboard.

good thing it was only a free trial.

rift is basicly the same as world of warcraft. i didn't see much difference besides the appearance of the games. once you get to max level it turns into that struggle to get geared that is in wow.

time and time again online games prove to me they are not worth the time or effort. i hate that they are shoving online crap into my single player games gran turismo used to be offline until 5, and in the run there are about 50 or more cars i cannot get because you need to be online and have friends with the game.

soul calibur has 15 honors i can't get because they are online. this is crap.

I was referring to my previous post, and I meant to say EVE. Tells you how much I care about space games.

I heard that about Rift in the reviews. It doesn't look interesting and WoW clones are never fun to me.

I like MMO games. Having the choice to play the game with other people and communicate with them is nice. Although I suck at it and it often makes me very stressed and full of anxiety, I do find the rare person that I get a long with and enjoy chatting with. To me single player games just get boring after awhile. I like the human interaction some times. Especially PVP or being a part of a clan and doing stuff like farming with clan mates. Requiring having friends and playing online to get cars for a racing game that is strongly single player does seem like a bad idea, but these days so many people play online because playing online gaming enhances and lengthens the entire gaming experience for most.. Personally, I would love for many single player games to become multiplayer, I just wouldn't like strange requirements to obtain things like instanced dungeons and crap like that...

yeah i was ok with multiplayer till you couldn't get certain things without going online, and i have no friends nor do i know anyone with a ps3 and the games i have.

i have run across alot of games with that multiplayer crap, 358 had items you could get in multiplayer, you could try and solo it but good luck the enemies are freaking strong and will ruin you in no time, birth by sleep as a similar issue. the arena is made for party battles so the enemies are strong as heck, i got as far as i could on terra and gave up because i was dying left and right.

in dissidia it had the friend card system that you could only use with multiplayer, and that was the best way to get items that were hellish to get in the coliseum, thank god 012 allows you to make your own ghost battles cards.

but yeah it's getting to a point when online is almost mandatory, the run is constantly bugging me about being offline. it gets annoying.

it use to be multiplayer was just another mode now it gives you benefits in the game if you actually can use it. i can't. heck portal 2 has an entire second story that you have to be online to play in. the only bad thing in portal 2.

i feel like i'm getting screwed over in games nowadays and there is nothing i can do about it.

oh i thought you said i had mentioned starcraft. ok i was looking through my post going where is starcraft here?

but i would like eve if it wasn't so insanely complex. i like futuristic game settings.

yeah rift isn't much different then wow, just has a better class skill system, that's about it. i was actually able to tank a dungeon on rift when i couldn't in wow, rift actually gives warriors a multi target taunt, why wow couldn't is beyond me. the only dungeons i ran though were normal ones not heroic. but i almost manged to finish a dungeon with 3 people, two of them bailed right off the bat, and the last two stuck with me till the end, we were doing fine till the very end at that point we didn't have enough dps to bring down the enemies. and the dungeon was around my level, and in those games it is hard to 3 man any dungeon so i consider that a cool feat, considering i wasn't a pro at tanking nor did i know the dungeon i was in. i hadn't played long before that.

me and the other two can't remember names, had a nice conversation throughout the dungeon. almost like we were friends. that was one of the rare times i have ever talked on an online game since i started gaming.

You may want to look at Rift again. They changed a lot since launch.

The coolest feature, which is what you mentioned about groups and solo content, is that you can now solo or duo all of the dungeons at level cap. They also added a lot of world events and pvp.

Rift has doubled its content since launch. I am not playing it right now, because of time constraints, but for a play to pay game, its decent.

you can solo dungeons!? holy crap i thought it would never happen, only thing is before i stopped playing my character was on a server they were shutting down, so i don't know if i can get her back.

they finally put in the one damn feature i have agonized over for years. and i may have lost my character due to tech changes. this sucks!! !

i have been waiting since i soloed my first dungeon in wow, it was 20 levels under me but yeah.

but yeah the dungeon thing was what made me quit, i wasn't going through the same bs i went through in wow.

edit: jeez talk about jumping through hoops, trion got hacked and i forgot my old password, so i changed my password twice. failed a capcha 5 times having to rewrite my password every time. and now i find out the game is a 10gig file, 7 hours to download, argh!! !! !! !

actually yes, just ran through a bit of hammerknell, that what i gather is part of a raid. it's wasn't completely solo if you count the npcs helping at the start.

the green place was harder to get through with my warrior, and it was the 'easy' one i couldn't even get to the first boss. hammerknell was fun, and i'm not geared to the hilt and back.

would have been nice if some actual warrior equips would have dropped. i got all cleric stuff. it seems to be a work in progress, as in it will be developed more down the road.

but it's a start and i'll take it. there is alot of new stuff since i quit before. seems like that was ages ago.

i had mixed emotions quiting rift, because i actually like the game.

oh, well at least i'm having fun on rift.

but honestly i'd rather pay a monthly fee and have all the stuff i need in the game to begin with.

conquer another game i played was bad it is getting worse, the players pump thousands of dollars into this game, real money btw. on average, and that's just to level. one guy a veteran of the game i think from the time i still played. says that 3,000 is the minimum most of them have pumped into the game. honestly the game is free to play, the only people in the game who got their armor through in game methods have left the game, or stay to brag in the forums.

i stopped caring about monthly fees from then on. and i don't doubt they spend that much on average. i put 100 dollars into it. not one of my favorite memories. i think some of them spend more in a few months in conquer then a year sub would end up.

also i had the dragon balls that i spent 100$ on in my character's bank still, and i forgot my bank password. so 100$ went right down the drain.

my insight on it but, i really like to pay the cover price and nothing more for a game. but i can't really be picky sometime. i'm getting attacked by crocs in rift.
