Get a gaming PC instead,or at least a 360.

Too expensive. Nintendo is putting work into making better games and not more expensive hardware. Besides, Zelda games don't come out on XBOX360 so that ruins the whole idea. And there's the vendetta I have against Microsoft for making a progressively more resource intensive and more craptacular operating systems. The whole activation and WGA thing has made me switch over to Macintosh. BTW, OSX is FAST.

I can understand you like zelda and you hate microsoft, alright then.

The thing I dislike about the XBox is it seems as if all their good games end up coming out on the PC anyway. I already have a great gaming PC. Buying an XBox seems like a waste.

And, I'm most definitely getting a Wii at the soonest possible opportunity.

Do the Wii games come on CDs or cartridges? If they come on CDs, would it be possible to "rip" the games from the discs somehow and turn them into "ROMs" that the emulator would be able to read?

they come in cd's, and to be honest I don't see that in the near future, and if there ever where one, it'd need a huge machine to run it even at a slow speed.

yeah!

a cousin got one, I loved it!

I knew Nintendo was behind something HUGE when I saw two uncles, who have never played videogames, grab the control and play baseball, and an aunt play tenis.
This is great, and actually makes families play together :D

I have it. I wouldn't rave about it. The novelty will wear off, and if I wanted to jump around like an idiot I'll go to the gym. Video games should be relaxing imo.

My wrists won't work at the end of zelda.. I wish they sold the GC version in NZ

I just bought a new PS2, an American version. It's an old system, but none of the new consoles really appeal to me, since they don't really have anything out for them yet I'd be interested in - except Zelda, but that's just one game.

I got one at launch day, and I imagine it would be a fantastic party system (ironically, I never have them :P). Having people swinging their arms around like maniacs playing Wii Sports would be classic--heck, even I laugh at myself when I'm playing. :D

I already have a "Super Nintento" Emulator (SNES9X)...

Nintendo's optical media isn't tracked like standard DVDs so the only drives that can read the discs are in the Nintendo. It's still possible to rip SOMEHOW, but we are talking about emulating a RISC instruction set on a CISC instruction set, and it usually doesn't work out too well even on monsterously powerful hardware.

Your right, Unknown and Ahayes! PCs are powerful! Maybe in the next few years, I'll get a new dual core processor, but I'm not sure how much they will cost then! Of course, I'll probably be getting a PC instead of a Mac because there will be more games available! - aww yea foo.

You are neglecting that Boot Camp will be included with Leopard.

I have a Dual Core iMac.

I might get a Mac -- only if if I can find one with a total processing power of > 3.5 GHz!!

Edit: You never fail to amaze me, ahayes! :D Image

Like 2.0GHz+2.0GHz for a total of 4.0GHz? Or both cores running at 3.5GHz? Because it sounds like the former. My iMac already exceeds that.
