What game characters do you like that other people hate?

I'd rather hate Shedinja. Not because he has 1 Hit Point but because Wonder Guard isn't totally correct as it's not just Super-Effective moves that can work... there's hail and sandstorm for example.

I just started playing Kingdom Hearts the other day, and I have to say that I really like Kairi. I heard that she's hated by a lot of people though, and it makes me kind of sad. According to TV Tropes, most people who hate her are either yaoi fangirls who think that she gets in the way of the Riku/Sora pairing, or because she is feminine and gets kidnapped twice. Now, I like yaoi and I think it'd be cool if Kairi were more of a warrior (particularly as a playable character), but I don't think it's fair that she gets hated on so much - she's got a perfectly likable personality and her character design is cute (esp. in the first game - wish they would have kept her short hair for subsequent games).

Vanille from Final Fantasy 13 she is one of my favorite characters. Fang is a close second.

Cath Onasi from KOTOR comes to mind.. a lot of people tend to hate him for some reason.
I always enjoyed him on my party since he kinda felt so realistic about all the stuff that happens.
I love the voice actor too, but for some reason I can't stand him in Mass Effect (Kaiden)
I blame the bad character personality to be honest (especially in ME3 LOL)

I agree. She is pretty damn adorable. And she gets Hope to stop sitting around in self pity (but I love Hope as well).

Speaking of Pokemon, even though it's not a game character. I always loved the various ice puzzles in the games, but most videos of people playing them dislike them. :?

I remember actually having one on my team when I was a kid, I also loved milotic a lot too, heck, I made a team of all water pokemon just for grins.

I LOOOOOVE all the Sonic characters (asides from Chip) <3
Roxas from Kingdom Hearts II - he gets suuuuch a bad rep, but is adorable
Duke Nukem - So insanely over-the-top manly that he's quite fun!
Krystal from Star Fox - get sooooo much fanhate, but she's AWESOME!

Magikarp has always learned tackle since gen 1. Its actually not as terrible as some new pokemon for 2 reasons, one of which you covered already:

1. It evolves into Gyarados.
2. It learns flail in one of the ADV games or gen 4. This is...something and if your opponent is stupid you can sweep their whole team using flail. Of course this is very predictable and its a lot easier to do with a pokemon who doesn't have garbage stats such as Gyarados or Heracross.

There are worse 'mons though plus because of the cartoon and nostalgia I think lots of people love Magikarp. Its goofy and useless in an endearing way everyone likes.


You want to know who's terrible, has no redeeming value at all and is a completely worthless pokemon that I'm pretty sure no one in the whole world likes?

It doesn't even evolve or have anything special. I mean Farfetch'd at least gets a special item to boost his crit (he's still useless) and Flareon's stats are pretty nice, his movepool just sucks. Luvdisc has no likeable qualities whatsoever, it doesn't evolve, has sh***y stats and its..okay I guess...I kind of like it too.. :oops:


What about Sunkern? It has the lowest stas in all of Pokemon.

I like Kairi, though she sort of matured in the space of a year and she did at least fight some heartless... I do not think she should be the fighting type as it would not suit her personality.

Shadow FTW! The Shadow the Hedgehog game gets far too much hate!
