Probably not enough people here, but might be fun to make a WP team.

I would be (I consider myself very good at the game), were it that I had enough time to play that much.

Valve is just smart - they've realized that their target group doesn't mind paying lots of money for a unique arrangement of pixels (a.k.a. "hat") and other stuff which is extremely cheap to create. There's a huge profit margin (you're basically donating money to valve).
That's why they made TF2 free; the sales profits pale in comparison.
I figured as much. Valve has brainwashed us into the TF2 culture they wanted to create. For example, F2P users are highly frowned upon.

Yup, but hey, I love hats, they provide people with a means of self-expression.

That's so cool! I really want a Cthulhu hat... one with the tentacles. Seriously, this game "Cthulhu Saves the World" is really making me obsessed with Cthulhu.

But yeah, why just collect virtual hats when you can collect hats in real life.

I'm a lot like you in that I really like the characters and humor of TF2, but I'm too nervous to actually play it. I tried it once but I was so bad at it that my own teammates friendly fired on me! I don't think that my reaction time is good enough to be able to play a FPS, which I'm fine with. I'm more worried about being looked down on by the people who actually do play the game if I decide to call myself a TF2 fan without actually playing it myself.

there's a guy called "the spy" and he can make it look like he's on your team via a disguise

to his own team he looks like himself with a flimsy paper mask on that shows a bad looking face of the class and teamcolour he's imitating, but to the enemy he looks exactly like that

a common theme for people is to take a whack at each other and see if they hurt the guy, on many servers hitting your own team doesn't hurt them, so that's how you can tell

this is known as a "spycheck"

it's kind of important because spies have the ability to cloak as well, disable sentries (try playing an engineer) and one hit kill backstab people - they cause lots of chaos

I'm still here, I've been really busy with this monster of an essay for Honor's English. I love the class to pieces, but it consumes so much of my time. My professor is so easy going it's crazy! Haven't been able to play TF2!
