He's an idiot. That's all there is to it.

He gets all this attention, but he doesn't deserve it at all. If you upset the guy, good for you! He deserves to be made to feel truly awful.

I can't stand that people are blaming video games for all these things. I'm sorry, but they do a lot of good too. They could do more, but that's another issue. But I don't think that most of them are horrible people.

One thing about misinformed types, is that they're often resistant to informing.

Hmm. Even though it isn't worth my time maybe I should send some emails to Jackie....

Guys, there's no point to sending Thompson hate mail. He's been out of the news for a long while yet, and all that happens when he gets these letters is a sense of vindication. You're not going to change his mind on anything. No offense, but smarter and more eloquent people have tried and failed spectacularly, simply because this man is so convinced of his mission (or his money).

Either way, you're just wasting time with it and I honestly don't understand how you can make yourself feel better by sending hate mail to a man in his 70s who has up to this point never directly interacted with you.

I'd say, "Let's all molest him with spam!" but that'd probably make him do some other big public display to get more attention from the press. Then again it'd probably be so ignorant (as it always is) that it'd give everyone else another reason to hate him.
