My Steam

Names I normally use: Very rare for me to change from JockGitJnr but sometimes I will have a troll name up such as xxXD4rk3dg3666Xw33dboi420N00bd4diXxx
How often I log in: Pretty much everyday and my account is almost always online unless I am sleeping and sometimes even then.
What kind of Games I play: I don't have much installed. Just Arma 2 & 3, Valve 1.6 MP games, Payday, L4D2, RO2 and UT99. I play Saurbraten and LoL as well. I will play almost any game on my games list though; the only limitations being Gmod and it's pretty hard to get me to install TF2 (But you can always try). I shall mention my skill level here as well. I have been gaming since I was 6 (currently 19) so, as you can probably guess, my skill level is....low to average.
What I am like: I am rubbish at making conversation, but I am almost always up for a chat. I don't take games too seriously either because I believe they are made to have fun with.

Games that I play with other people: Dota 2, League of Legends, Magicka, Firefall [closed beta], AirMech, PlanetSide 2

I'm on pretty much everyday as most of my games are on Steam, even when I'm not playing Steam games I let it start up every time I turn on my computer. There are quite a few multiplayer games that I really only play alone unless I have a good friend to play with, but I would not mind to have some more people with which to play some Dota 2 or PlanetSide 2 or Magicka (I imagine everyone that has this has beaten it, unlike me).

From time to time, Steam decides my computer doesn't need to run, causing it to seize up. Jan 2012, it took reinstalling Windows to fix that. Nov 2012, another Windows reinstall. Feb 2013, I tried all the things I'd tried before short of reinstalling Windows, in the vain hope that something would work this time. Ended up uninstalling Steam. I'll reinstall Windows again, maybe next year. Until then, Skyrim, Fallout: New Vegas, Bioshock, and Bioshock 2 are out of my gaming cycle.

Mine is "Misery", as it is here. There are others with that name though (sigh), so it's specifically the one with the same avatar image as I am using on this site.


I'm always up for a chat, though I dont always remember to mark myself as "away" when Im not there. I'm generally on during the night, being mostly nocturnal.


As for the sorts of games I'm into.... I tend to avoid mainstream titles (not because I dont like "mainstream" or something, just because they tend to be games I genuinely dont like), and I mostly ignore the entire FPS genre, and wont play anything with too many cutscenes or too much focus on story. I like difficult games, so shmups and roguelikes and particularly murderous or complicated RPGs (like Avernum or Grimrock) are good examples of things that I like.

I'm also big into indie games, I like MMOs, and I'll often pick up quirky and interesting/unusual games as well.


As for actual multiplayer games, Dota 2 is one, though I'm still quite new to it. Mostly I do support role in that one. Awesomenauts and Airmech are others, though I havent had too much time with those yet (but I will! really loving that whole genre so far).

Other than that, and various MMOs, I tend to do mostly singleplayer stuff.

The names I mostly use: Most of the time it is Lightfollower though occasionally I do put down DynasticKestrel (which is also my Xbox LIVE gamertag) but 99/100 it will be Lightfollower (at least when it is related to Steam)
